After this point, James' editing of the MS repeatedly groups list items together in a way that the MS layout does not reflect or suggest, and he (misleadingly!) omits repeating list-item elements; his editing thus gives a false impression of irregularity or haphazardness in list style and structure. Therefore from this point I give the direct MS reading rather than material given by James, though I silently maintain James' prior editorial conventions with respect to capitalisation, abbreviation, and expansion - AH De S.
